Problem Statement
To build a web portal for leather goods so that customers and interested buyers can place orders via the portal enabling the expansion of market for the dealer/retailer and one stop shop for the customer. The site must have 2D animation of the products listed in catalog.
Solution
The B2C portal is an online one-stop shop for purchase of leather goods within a particular city. The portal enables customers to place orders for various leather goods such as bags, belts, apparels, shoes etc. The customer selects the products from the online catalog provided.
The portal consists of two main modules:

Customer interface module
The customer interface is further divided into two modules :
1. Catalog processing module
The customer can view an online catalog that consists of products belonging to different categories such as apparels, belts, jackets etc.
The user can select the category that he is interested to view or purchase. Once the user selects his category he can view the items ready to be purchased. When the user selects an item he is shown the details of the item such as size, color, price etc. On clicking of the image the user can view the frontal as well as the rear of an item. The user can select any item from the catalog and place it in his shopping cart.
Product Functions:
The online shopping cart has the following functions:
- Allows user to view categories of products available.
- Allows customers to register to the website.
- Allow customers to browse through the product catalog
- Allow customers to create and modify their shopping carts.
- Allows user to view products in 2D animation
2. Order processing module
Once the user confirms the cart he is asked for his authentication details. A registered user is informed that a call center representative will give a call to him. Once the user confirms the order over telephone the necessary steps are taken by the administration to deliver the products ordered. A user who has not registered must fill a registration form that accepts details of the user. All fields in the form are compulsory.

Administrative interface module
The module is designed for the system administrator and allows him to manage details about categories and products. The administrator can add, modify or delete categories and items. This module also includes the feature of showing the inventory status report that displays an error if the reorder level is reached.
